We, KysenPool, support SIP-00010 and are glad to see long-standing discussions around lowering staking minimums finally moving into action. This change meaningfully improves accessibility for delegators and supports broader, more decentralized stake participation across the Story network.
I support SIP-00010.
The current 1024 IP minimum stake is a hard barrier for retail participation and unnecessarily concentrates staking among larger holders. Reducing the minimum stake/unstake/redelegate amounts to 32 IP is a reasonable floor that materially improves accessibility while keeping an economic threshold against dust/spam.
I also agree with lowering the auto-reward distribution threshold from 8 IP to 1 IP and reducing staking operation fees from 1 IP to 0.1 IP. Under the existing parameters, smaller stakers face a poor UX (long waits to see rewards) and fees that are disproportionate to position size. This proposal makes staking feel usable for smaller holders without fully removing anti-spam costs.
VALIDEXIS supports SIP-00010 and sees it as a well-balanced step toward improving staking accessibility on the Story network.
Lowering the minimum thresholds for staking, reward distribution, and operations meaningfully improves the experience for smaller delegators while preserving clear economic barriers against spam. It is also important that the 1024 IP self-stake requirement for validators remains unchanged, ensuring operator commitment and network stability.
Overall, VALIDEXIS believes SIP-00010 strengthens decentralization and aligns well with Story’s long-term vision, with post-implementation monitoring being the right next step.
lowering thresholds and fees actually lets more holders meaningfully join network security and governance.
Yes, it’s absolutely necessary to lower the threshold for unstake and redelegate. For example, I, like many others, delegated 1024 tokens, and the validator is jailed. Due to slashing, the token amount dropped to 1023.39 tokens. Now I can neither withdraw nor redelegate.
This change honestly feels overdue. Lowering the staking requirements makes it much easier for regular users to take part, not just large holders.
It’s good to see Story removing friction and making staking feel more open and accessible. Changes like this can really help the network grow in a more natural way.
It looks like it will never happen
