Full support from SpiderNode for SIP-00010, lowering delegator thresholds to 32 IP is a game changer for retail inclusion and UX! Spot on with the 1 IP reward threshold and fee reductions too. One note: Keeping the 1024 $IP bar for validator creation makes total sense to ensure responsibility and curb bulk spamming.
This decision lowers the barriers for end users to engage with the ecosystem. By making participation more accessible, it encourages broader community involvement, strengthens collective trust in the network, and supports long-term adoption. As CoinHunters, we believe this change will have a positive and lasting impact on the community and the overall health of the ecosystem.
As OriginStake, we are supportive of the direction proposed in SIP-00010.
Reducing the staking thresholds meaningfully lowers the barrier for smaller holders to participate directly in network security and governance. Under the current parameters, many users are effectively pushed toward indirect participation through liquid staking or other intermediaries rather than native staking.
By making native staking more accessible, this proposal not only improves decentralization but also creates a healthier foundation for the broader DeFi ecosystem on Story. Easier entry into staking can coexist with liquid staking solutions, allowing users to choose between flexibility and direct participation, rather than being forced into a single path.
From a validator perspective, we see this as a positive step toward attracting a wider delegator base, while still maintaining reasonable guardrails against spam and excessive state growth.
Everstake is in favor of lowering the staking thresholds, as it will encourage participation, contributing to both stake growth and the security of the protocol. Decreasing the minimum stake, unstake, and redelegate amounts will help attract more users to the ecosystem and lower the entry barrier.
Also, a reasonable approach, as suggested in previous comments, would be to set the initial stake minimum to 32 IP, while requiring no minimum for subsequent additions to an existing stake.
Reducing the minimum reward claim threshold and decreasing all staking operation fees will also improve the overall user experience, which will have a positive impact on ecosystem health.
Overall, I support SIP-00010. The current 1024 IP threshold is too high and effectively excludes retail users from staking. Lowering it to 32 IP feels like a reasonable balance between accessibility and spam protection. Reducing the reward distribution threshold and staking fees is also a big UX improvement for smaller stakers. There are some state growth risks, but they’re acknowledged and seem manageable. Overall, a positive step toward broader and more decentralized participation.
NodeStake supports this proposal.
Lowering the minimum staking thresholds, reward distribution threshold, and staking operation fees meaningfully improves accessibility and user experience for retail participants while preserving adequate economic safeguards against spam.
This is a well-balanced step toward greater decentralization and long-term network health.
Silent Validator supports this proposal.
This change is vital for welcoming retail participants and improving network decentralization.
The 32 IP/1 IP thresholds strike the right balance between accessibility and spam prevention.
It is also very helpful for community-based validators.
At Cumulo, we’ve been discussing the staking threshold issue for months together with Atlas-Staking and other validators in Discord, which eventually led to coordinating with Tim to bring this discussion to the forum and the broader community.
We fully support the direction of SIP-00010 and agree with most of the points already raised by fellow validators. From our perspective, the key objective has always been twofold: lowering barriers to bring new stakers into the network, and enabling mechanisms like restake and auto-compounding for smaller amounts. At scale, these dynamics can meaningfully increase total stake and, ultimately, network security.
Like Atlas-Staking, we believe there is still room to consider even lower thresholds in the future, especially to better include community members with more modest capital and to further facilitate restake and auto-compound flows.
Overall, this proposal is a strong step forward, and we’re glad to see the conversation progressing constructively.
Now more easy to stake on Story. Thank you.
the drop in staking operation fees from 1 IP to 0.1 IP is another big win.
retail investors often feel the pinch when fees eat into their smaller stakes, but this change helps balance things out.
It makes staking a lot more affordable for those with smaller investments, making the whole process more attractive and worthwhile for everyone, no matter how much they’re putting in
a great offer, the lower the threshold, the more users will be interested in staking
Grand Valley here — we fully support SIP-00010.
Lowering delegator thresholds to 32 IP is a real win for retail inclusion and staking UX. the 1 IP reward threshold and fee reductions are also spot on for making day-today staking feel smoother. and keeping the 1024 IP requirement for validator creation makes sense. It helps maintain responsibility and reduces the risk of bulk spam.

From a more comprehensive perspective, the significance of SIP-00010 goes beyond simply “lowering the staking threshold.” It shifts Story’s staking and governance from a capital-intensive activity to a more inclusive one. Lower minimum staking amounts and fees help attract more small and medium-sized token holders, improving decentralization quality, validator competition, and overall security.
**However,**lowering the threshold may also bring engineering challenges such as increased on-chain state and higher reward distribution frequency. While advancing the proposal, it’s crucial to establish clear on-chain metric monitoring and a mechanism for retroactive parameter adjustments, and to discuss more flexible reward collection methods and necessary anti-abuse constraints.
In any case, this is a correct decision, but it requires supporting governance capabilities to be implemented.
I believe SIP-00010 perfectly aligns with Story’s ecosystem narrative, which targets creators and a broader user base!
huntercbank here, Iam support SIP-00010.
I fully support SIP-00010 as it moves Story toward a more inclusive and decentralized staking system. Lowering the staking threshold allows more OGs and smaller participants to actively contribute to network security, governance, and long term ecosystem growth. This proposal strengthens community participation and aligns well with Story’s long term vision.

Many users have been disappointed by how high the existing staking minimum was.
With this update, the entry barrier is significantly lowered, and it feels very likely that many more users will start participating in staking.
I think this is a really great proposal.
StakeUp supports SIP-00010.
Reducing the minimum stake feels like the right move to improve usability and bring in more smaller delegators.
This should help decentralization and make the staking experience smoother for new users.

Bunny here…
This proposal makes staking more accessible and fair by lowering minimums, reducing fees, and enabling frequent rewards, empowering retail participants while keeping the network secure.
So I support this one
Gmip Story!
The reduction of staking operation fees from 1 IP to 0.1 IP is a strong, user-centric improvement.
It removes a major cost burden for retail participants, ensures smaller stakes aren’t disproportionately affected and makes staking far more accessible. This change promotes fairness, wider participation and a healthier more decentralized ecosystem.
A clear step in the right direction So I support this proposal ![]()
This finally lets me stake as a retail holder. Lowering the threshold to 32 IP is a big win for accessibility and decentralization
This is a very welcome update! I am particularly pleased with the reduction of the reward threshold to 1 IP. For small delegators, it is important to see the results of their staking regularly, rather than waiting weeks for 8 IP to accumulate. SIP-00010 significantly improves the user experience (UX) and makes the Story ecosystem open to everyone, regardless of the size of their capital.
