All machines are monitored closely and will be upgraded further as network requirements grow.

Security & operations

  • User management – each operator uses an individual account with least-privilege access. SSH is key-only; password logins are disabled. Activity is logged and periodically reviewed.
  • Network security – validator ports are tightly restricted; only required ports are exposed on RPC. Firewalls are enforced at host and provider level, and all external access is encrypted.
  • Key management – validator keys are stored encrypted and only accessible to essential services. Keys are generated in controlled environments, with clear incident-response procedures.
  • Redundancy & HA – regular backups and well-rehearsed manual failover procedures. Our monitoring stack alerts on performance, latency, and consensus issues so we can react quickly.

Grand Valley operates as an infra-driven validator team with Story as one of our main priorities. We have been involved since the early testnets and currently maintain an all-time average uptime of ~99.9%+ on Story mainnet, which reflects how seriously we treat availability and operations.
