Story Ecosystem Contributions
- Story Wiki Platform: we developed and maintain the fully open-source Story Wiki platform since early 2024. This platform provides a collection of developer resources, troubleshooting tips, validator or community-driven tools and infrastructure, reliable endpoints, explorers, and everything Story-related in one place. We reviewed and merged ~70 pull requests across Iliad, Odyssey, and Mainnet phases, with continuous updates to resources, UI/UX improvements, and documentation.
- Story Endpoints Ninja: This is a major platform we’re working on (https://story.endpoints.ninja), designed to simplify the monitoring and discovery of proven RPC endpoints across the Story network. It provides both real-time and historical insights like uptime, latency, available interfaces, reachability, downtime logs, error tracking, and more. You’ll always know which RPCs are performing best, based on the variety of checks and metrics. The platform also manages a large amount of archive data, including historical uptime, endpoint reachability, and upgrade timelines.
- Decentralization Analytics: we built an interactive 3D visualization tool (https://story-map.f5nodes.com) that provides a global overview of Story’s node distribution. It shows node locations, detailed node information, data center concentration, and country distribution. All regularly updated to reflect the current state of the network. This is useful for node operators choosing where to deploy, and for anyone interested in tracking Story’s decentralization and geographic growth.
- Infrastructure Provision: We maintain a dedicated page at https://story.f5nodes.com where developers and validators can quickly grab Story RPC endpoint and both Story and Geth snapshots. Handy for anyone who needs access to historical data.
- Story Docs Contributions: We’ve contributed a lot to the official Story documentation, including detailed validator migration instructions, the validator creation section, wallet setup guides, and more.
- Educational Content: we wrote a comprehensive guide to staking and securing Story L1 (https://blog.f5nodes.com/a-comprehensive-guide-to-staking-and-securing-story-l1), covering staking mechanics, validator and delegator roles, slashing penalties, the Nakamoto Coefficient, why decentralization matters, and how to choose the right validator.
- Story Ukrainian Space: We created Story Ukrainian Space (https://notion.f5nodes.com/story-ukrainian-space) to educate people about IP and to build a strong community around it. This is the knowledge base dedicated to the Ukrainian community, where people can find information about IP technology, the latest news, research, articles, connect with individuals who share your interests, find answers to frequently asked questions, and more. We’re constantly adding new materials and resources to ensure that it remains up to date.
- Community Engagement: we’ve been pretty active since getting involved with Story, publishing detailed content like our Iliad Testnet Recap thread (https://x.com/f5nodes/status/1848800660025970694) covering statistics, on-chain activity, node engagement, and network upgrades; jumping into live sessions with the Story team; sharing tons of Story-related updates on Twitter. A small sample of our highlighted tweets:
- Close collaboration with Story team: we’ve maintained close communication with Tim since the early days, pushing updates about Story Wiki, amplifying blog and Twitter posts via Story ecosystem accounts, reporting bugs, contributing to docs, and more. We always worked to understand the current needs and provide useful contributions, staying flexible in our solutions. We were also among the first to be onboarded to the Iliad testnet as partners, providing feedback and suggesting improvements.
- Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep building Story Endpoints Ninja, adding new features like real-time alerts for RPC issues, historical data analysis, flexible RPC checks, open-source provider registry, and more. We’ll also keep expanding Story Wiki, updating our Decentralization Analytics tool, producing more educational content, and continuing to support the community through our Telegram and Twitter channels.
Why Delegate to Us?
At F5 Nodes, validation is more than just a service for us. We try to stay deeply involved in the ecosystem and make sure that what we do actually matters and aligns with the bigger vision. Our approach is based on a deep understanding of the validator’s role in safeguarding the Story network, and we’re happy to contribute our experience and resources to Story’s growth. We got involved with Story since the early days, even before the first Iliad testnet launched, and since then we’ve continued our impactful work. We’re proud to be part of the Story ecosystem and excited to keep building!
