[ANNOUNCEMENT] Introducing WeIppy – A Browser Extension for the Story Protocol Community!

Hey Story Protocol fam! :wave:

I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on to enhance our experience within the Story Protocol ecosystem—a browser extension called WeIppy! :tada:

What is WeIppy?

WeIppy is a browser extension designed to help you easily identify and engage with Story Protocol community members on Twitter (X). It highlights usernames, displays roles.

Key Features:

:small_blue_diamond: Highlight Usernames: Easily spot admins, mods, ecosystem projects, KaitoAI Top 100 users, and OG role holders from Discord.
:small_blue_diamond: Custom Colors & GIFs: Visual cues help differentiate roles at a glance.
:small_blue_diamond: Hover Tooltips: Instantly see a user’s role or batch name when hovering over their username.
:small_blue_diamond: Toggle On/Off: Control highlighting with a simple button, and the extension remembers your settings!
:small_blue_diamond: Follow Suggestions: A curated list of Story Protocol accounts you can follow right from the extension.

Free & Secure

The extension is completely free and open-source. It doesn’t collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The code is transparent, allowing anyone to review it for security.

Supported Browsers

WeIppy works on all Chromium-based browsers:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Brave
  • Opera, Vivaldi, and others!

How to Install:

  1. Download the ZIP from GitHub or clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/sagorahmed/Weippy.git
  1. Open your browser and navigate to:
  • Chrome: chrome://extensions/
  • Brave: brave://extensions/
  1. Enable Developer Mode and click Load Unpacked.
  2. Select the WeIppy folder, open Twitter, and you’re good to go!

Future Plans:

:small_blue_diamond: Unified Update View: A feature to view all updates from key Story Protocol accounts in one place.
:small_blue_diamond: Publish on the Chrome Web Store: For easier installs and automatic updates.
:small_blue_diamond: Your Tweets Are IP: Integration with the Story Protocol blockchain to allow users to register tweets as IP assets, protecting and validating your content directly on the blockchain.
